Cap d'Antibes, France - Hotel du Cap Eden Roc

I had lunch yesterday at the absolutely breathtaking Hotel du Cap Eden Roc in Cap d'Antibes in the south of France. The 140 year old hotel has a fascinating history and has seen the likes of famous poets, authors, artists, royals and celebrities. If you like what you see in my photos, the luxury publishing company Assouline sells a gorgeous coffee table book on the hotel. (And I'm warning you now on sticker shock, a cheeseburger is €44, that's about $55). But in the land of the rich and famous, just feign nonchalance and don't even bother to look at prices.

How cool is the bar!? You feel like you are at sea on a yacht.

After lunch we took a leisurely stroll around the property with its perfectly manicured grounds. The sound of the cicadas, or local crickets, was deafening! I am pretty sure I could spend an entire summer here, sigh. Like me, you can have fun day dreaming with these photos.
