Verbier, Switzerland - Day One in the Swiss Alps

The girls and I flew from London to Geneva early Friday morning for a long weekend in Verbier in the Swiss Alps. We hired a van through Alpine Express for the roughly two hour drive from the airport to Verbier. We arrived around 2pm and headed straight to lunch in town at Chez Martin, where we ate huge salads and delicious thin crust wood oven pizzas.

After lunch we checked into our two junior suites at the King's Parc, an adorable and cosy chalet-style hotel with great mountain views centrally located in town.

Around 5pm we headed to Farinet on the main square for a little apres-ski partying. This is a jam packed spot where everyone comes after a long day on the slopes for pitchers of cold beer and live music. It is also a fun spot to party after dinner as well.

From Farinet, we went back to the hotel to get ready for cocktails and dinner, which was organized by a friend of ours from London who is a partner in the Hotel Nevai (another great place to stay) where the dinner was held.

After dinner we headed to the most popular disco in all of Verbier, Farm Club, conveniently located in the Hotel Nevai.  The Farm Club has been around for 40 years and is a Verbier institution. It is the place to see and be seen.

We spent the wee hours of the morning dancing on tables ...

Stay tuned this week for days two and three of our long weekend!
